From the fraternity’s inception, Sigma Alpha Gamma Military Fraternity, Inc. has demonstrated an interest in serving the needs of the community. Within the first 8 months of existence and partnership with the Habitat for Humanity. As such, Sigma Alpha Gamma has been at the forefront of aiding communities throughout the United States. Therefore, each chapter shall facilitate, participate, and coordinate activities that demonstrate community outreach practices. Annual food and clothing drive to provide clothing and food to veterans and their families shall be an integral part of this program. Other activities include voter registration, combatting veteran homelessness, mental health awareness, and fundraisers for charitable organizations.
Objectives:
To instill a sense of benevolence in all brothers of Sigma Alpha Gamma regarding the need for the fraternity’s continuous involvement in promoting the betterment of our communities.
To foster collaborative partnerships between community organizations with shared goals
To promote the opportunities for the expansion of Sigma Alpha Gamma
To facilitate community service and mentorship opportunities for members of the organization
To provide an equitable chapter recognition program for community services rendered
